Dedicated to the Research and Education of Connective Tissue Issues.

The NovaCombian Research Institute was founded as the connection between education, research, patient and family needs for those afflicted with Connective Tissue disorders.

NovaCombian focuses on:

  • Creating educational resources for patients, their families, physicians, and researchers.
  • Leading research into Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and other connective tissue disorders to aid in the advancement of medicine.
  • Giving EDS patients hope and improving their quality of life.
  • Advocating for those in need living with under-diagnosed connective tissue disorders.
  • Access to our specialized healthcare to everyone who needs it.

The NovaCombian Institute is committed to implementing these policies, and with the assistance from generous souls, providing relief to those who face EDS. We believe that good research and practice are mutually reinforcing — each point of view and endeavor should inform and influence others. We believe it is critical to share our knowledge for the greater good, facilitating a more efficient research process and translating findings into action.

We have a very distinct inclination toward scientific research, influenced by key factors:

  • There is a significant number of individuals living with EDS who have not yet been diagnosed, or are unaware of their condition or status.
  • Connective Tissue Issues (CTI) are currently classified as “Rare Diseases”, however we believe they are under diagnosed diseases.
  • We believe CTI patients should receive the same treatment as those with a common headache or fever.
  • Most people are unaware of CTI, leading to misdiagnosis from some physicians.
  • We are aware the amount of suffering endured silently by CTI patients.
  • We hope to help CTI patients improve their quality of life.
  • People need to know how, when, and where to seek assistance when needed.
  • We believe our research findings will benefit humanity.

Any new findings made by The NovaCombian Research Institute are directed toward bringing EDS patients a better quality of life. Most of our research is funded either by ourselves, through 20% of QoLIFY’s revenues donated towards research, grants or individuals’ donations.

Innovations that come from this research aim to save lives and improve the quality of life for millions of patients.

As an advocate for EDS patients, the NovaCombian Institute fosters an environment in which medical discovery is nurtured, prepares a diverse medical research workforce, and strengthens the integrity of scientific research.

Nonprofit organizations rely on the generosity of donors, and The NovaCombian Research Institute is no exception. As Kathy Calvin once put it, "giving is more than making a donation. It is all about making a difference.” We are here to make that difference in a way only we can and make the world a better place. We inform and empower individuals to contribute to the advancement of positivity, promoting research. Our research contributes to the development of solutions that benefit both our communities and the world at large.

The NovaCombian Research Institute has assembled a dynamic team dedicated to achieving positive social change. We intend to develop workshops, webinars, peer learning programs, and e-learning courses to raise awareness on connective tissue disorders and to teach patients and their families to live with these conditions, reclaim their confidence, and reclaim their lives.

QoLIFY is a proud partner of the NovaCombian Research Institute
20% of all proceeds are allocated to continuing research of connective tissue issues and outreach to communities affected by these conditions.
